Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2, 2026

SymptoSeek provides AI-assisted health information and doctor-discovery tools. It is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, advice, or treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Please read these Terms carefully before using SymptoSeek. They explain the rules for using the service and the limits of our responsibilities.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and SymptoSeek ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use SymptoSeek.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SymptoSeek. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using SymptoSeek you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password confidential and enable two-factor authentication where possible.
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Medical disclaimer — not professional advice

SymptoSeek provides general health information and AI-assisted guidance for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide a diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. Using SymptoSeek does not create a doctor–patient relationship.

Always seek the advice of a qualified physician or other healthcare professional with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or received from SymptoSeek. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

5. Appointments and third-party doctors

SymptoSeek helps you discover doctors and request appointments. We are not a healthcare provider and do not employ, recommend, or endorse any particular doctor or facility. Doctor details are provided for convenience and may change; verify them directly with the provider. Any care you receive is solely between you and the healthcare provider, and we are not responsible for it.

6. Acceptable use

When using SymptoSeek, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
  • Upload content that infringes others' rights or contains malware.
  • Attempt to access other users' data or to breach, probe, or disrupt our systems.
  • Scrape, copy, or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Misuse the AI assistant to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.

7. AI-generated content

Responses from the AI assistant are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for how you use them. SymptoSeek does not guarantee any particular outcome and is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content. Always confirm important matters with a professional.

8. Intellectual property

SymptoSeek and its content, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and you grant us the rights needed to operate the service (for example, to store your data and process your messages to generate responses).

9. Third-party services and links

The service relies on third-party providers (such as cloud hosting, email, AI, and Google Sign-In) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using SymptoSeek and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SymptoSeek and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any reliance on AI-generated or health-related information.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SymptoSeek and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts located in Bangladesh will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SymptoSeek after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
